Candidate Experience Awards 2013/2014/2015

E.ON has been given special recognition for its high standards in how it treats its candidates. For two years running now, we have been given a Candidate Experience (CandE) award in recognition of our outstanding recruiting, screening and hiring practices. What’s more, of the winners in both 2013 and 2014, we were one of only four companies that received a distinction.

Clear Assured

E.ON’s inclusive approach to disability recruitment has earned us Clear Assured status. This is awarded to organisations that are committed to best practice in disability recruitment (specifically, the “removal of barriers from recruitment policies, processes and practices which have the potential to exclude disabled people”).

We first became Clear Assured in 2010. However, it’s a status that has to be continuously earned, so we have taken a number of measures since then to further enhance our recruitment practices. For instance, we have invested significant resources into updating our careers website to make it more accessible to disabled people.

At the prestigious 2013 FIRM Awards in London, we secured the award for ‘Best Diversity and Inclusion Recruitment Strategy’ — an honour that recognises companies that have shown exceptional creativity and innovation in this area.

E.ON has been named one of ‘The Top Graduate Companies To Work For’ by a popular graduate website. Described as a TripAdvisor for jobs, TheJobCrowd site hosts thousands of anonymous reviews written by graduate employees at various companies. The site then compiles a rankings list based on the strength of these reviews.

2013/14 was a particularly good year for us. As well as being named one of the ‘Top Graduate Companies To Work For’, we also secured a high ranking in our own specialist sector list, ‘Top Energy & Support Services Companies To Work For’.

Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace award (Shortlisted)

E.ON’s progressive approach to diversity and inclusion has now been recognised by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. At the 2012 CIPD Awards, we were shortlisted for the prestigious Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace award.

The nomination was awarded in recognition for our efforts across a whole range of areas including equality, flexible working, training, development, recruitment and retention.

Best Use of Innovation on Campus

E.ON was proud to receive the award for ‘Best Use of Innovation on Campus’ at the 2014 TargetJobs Awards. This award was given for ‘The Room of the Future’ - a special installation we created as part of our graduate recruitment campaign. It was an immersive experience that highlighted the importance of energy challenges by showcasing a living room in the year 2020.
